For some time now I have wanted a cosy, fluffy waistcoat for those days when an extra layer on my back is all that’s needed. I use shawls and ponchos (Kettlewell Colours) and whilst cosy and beautiful they are not conducive to pottering and cooking! I have tried a couple of small sized women’s waistcoats but invariably they are too long in the waist and tend to gape in all the important places. Then I had a brainwave. I purchased the gorgeous waistcoat in age 10-12 years - I checked the measurements before making the purchase and am delighted to say it fits my petite size 8-10 frame perfectly! The armholes don’t gape, it sits beautifully just below my waist, it shows off my figure and looks very chic (so I am told). The quality of the faux fur is outstanding, as is the quality of the needlework and finish. It arrived beautifully packaged, giving that wonderful feeling of ‘luxe’.
